the only reason you were able to rebuild your engine was because everyone on the board had to explain it in all your posts.

I think it's funny how they both burn eachother, and then have a normal Q&A on the next line down.

              therock,

How did you check the coils? Did you check the secondaries [between 5,000-6,500 ohms by touching the top terminals of each coil] or the primaries [taking off the coil pack from the car and checking the bottom terminals; should be between 0.3-0.6 ohms if I remember right]. I had to shove a paper clip in the primary terminals to get a reading with the test probes because it's a really narrow opening.

My car has had 2 of the original coil packs go bad. The meter showed something wrong with the primaries and not the secondaries in my 2 cases.

Also, when both coil packs went bad, it started as a random misfire and got to be really bad in the course of 2-5 days. It degenerated quickly. I don't know if that's what usually happens.

***One final bit of advice if the misfire happens at idle and it's coil-related: remove the plug wires from the coil, one at a time, and keep restarting the car after removing each one. Each time you do this, the car should run even WORSE until you find the coil that is causing the problem. In essence, if the car's usually hitting on 5 cylinders because of the misfire, it will run on 4 of them until you find the bad coil pack.

              Sorry I can't answer your no-start question.

                            Take it to someone else.

he said he never seen anything like it he put it on a snap on scanner and said that no codes show up and everything was reading fine but he put this light on the injector and said it still had no fire so i dont think that he is doing something wrong i trust him his a friend but io have a ? if you unplug your pcm for like 3 months do you have to get it flashed
