what happened was that one fine evening my power steering went out. i drove it home and looked in the hood to see the serpentine belt had fallen off. so i put it back on. when i started the car it fell off again. as it turned out, this had happened:

that's one of them 'sealed lifetime bearings'. its good for the life of the bearing. i replaced both of mine this past summer since i was getting some strange noises. just replaced the tensioner pulley again this week. you never can tell how long these things are going to last. they should make the pulleys bigger so the bearing spins less.

I just replaced my tensioner pulley last week, and replaced the water pump and added a ZZP lightweight wp pulley yesterday with 127K on my car. I'm glad that sh*t never happened to me lol
