  • Trip Odometer ?

How come in my 97 camaro the trip odometer went to 9999.9 miles but in my 01 it only goes to 999.9? I can see the blank lcd next to it to go higher. I dont know im losing my mind.

Yeah, like he said i use to use it to check the oil mileage, if you look next to the 999.9 theres another lcd # that doesnt light up.

I use the trip odometer in my 'maro to keep track of MPG.
I don't worry about waiting for 3K miles to come around. I just automatically change my oil every 2 months. I average about 2500 miles during that time, never going more than 2800 though.

I use it for keeping track of my gas mileage, whenever I refill I reset it - helps me figure out average MPG pretty quickly.

I use a plastic sticky on the windshield to keep track of oil mileage.
