    I was told our cars had a ground strand about the length of a finger around the firewall area.. Can anyone tell me if it would be on the passenger side or the driversside? I wanted to check and see if it was loose...

    driver side, in that panel near your feet; it's a wire on the left side of the panel area.

    what's the significance (purpose) of it?

    i think the guys who just installed my clutch master/slave cylinders disconnected it.

      Is that the plastic panel you place your left foot on? I couldn't get it open...
