I know this sounds pretty bad but im not sure what year engine is in my car. It might be a '96 or '97. The car was wrecked so who ever had it before me replaced it with a different engine. It has to either be a '96 or '97. I have a '96 car. Is there anyway to tell for sure?

get the numbers off the motor and take it to the dealer!! They should tell you. I think someone said that same motor was produced for 95-97 cars.
