  • 3.4 Ram Air?

I was looking at Ram Air on A 5.7. While i was looking i was wondering if ram air would work on my car. Someone tell me if it is possible.

anything is possible with a few $$$. im sure it would be possible but weither it would be worth the extra money over a regular cool air intake for something that wont really yeild much of a gain on a 3.4 anyway, i dont know. maybe 3 hp over a cool air intake. wouldnt you need a hood as well? for the price of a few mods and a hood you could trade if for a v8.

although you have sparked an idea though. i wonder if an intake froma 98 or newer 3.8 would fit on a 3.4 since both the intakes are centered. you might have something with that thought. if anything i would persue the 3.8 intake and carve out the baffels for more airflow. not only would it give a decent gain, but would also not look cheesey.

im not sure though, anyone else have any ideas?

Yeah, it will fit, but you need to make a new bracket for it. You may also need an extension. I am currently making my own version cuz I am too cheap to go out and buy one. If you have the money, I say buy it.

As for the new style ram air (98+), you need the radiator support and all that hardware. Also, I am not sure if the radiator dimensions are different. You may need the 3.8 radiator too.
