Fuel Filter change on a 2000 Bird

K, well I think I need to change my fuel filter, and at www.installuniversity.com the tutorial shows them purging gas out of the fuel injector lines or whatever, u remove a small cap and press on a buton like mechanism and gas comes out, question is, where is that crap on a V6? I cant find it, and where in the bottom is the filter?

It's on top of the engine, should have a little green cap on it. Just get a rag and put it over top of the valve then push it in with a screwdriver or something.

its easier than that. open the fuel tank cap for like a few momments. put it back on. get under there and quickly unscrew it and put the new one on. a little gas will come out but for the most part it will be a slow drip. have plenty of rags handy. took me 5 mins. n o need to do that green gizmo thing. atleast i didnt.

unscrew gas cap...leave off. Purge fuel rail at scrader port...paseenger side fuel rail...towards front of engine...little black cap. (the green cap vent works as well...manuals recomend the fuel rail shrader valve though)

fuel filter is under car. follow fuel lines...you will see it.

on the instructions for doing a fuel filter all you have to do is open the gas cap, its much easier than using the schrader valve, you only need to do that for injectors and stuff.
