I have this strange squeel that comes from the accesary drive units at random times. I notice when stopping at a toll booth it seems to be the loudest. It sounds like one of the bearings is dying in one of the accessaries. Note the AC is off when this occurs. I replaced the drive belt today to see if that would reamidy the problem however its still there. Sounds like it might be coming from the power steering pump. If so is that expensive to replace?

Check your fluid level first. If it doesn't fix it, you probably need to replace the pump. You'll most likely need a pulley puller unless you get a pump with a pulley already on it. It took me about 2 hours to replace mine, it wasn't too hard, the hardest part was pulling the pulley off the old pump.2003 Zinc Yellow Mustang GT 1 of 701
ET : TBD
But our shenanigans are cheeky and fun!
