  • Differential fluid low

So I finally checked the differential fluid and when I stuck my finger in I couldnt feel any....Im hoping my car is still ok...is their a way I can tell if its done damage...no signs as of yet. BTW the rear pinion seal is leaking and Im not gonna replace it till I get an aluminum one piece drive shaft very soon.

Pull the rear differential cover and look for metal shavings on the magnetic plug. The plug is located on the inside of the cover near the bottom. I usually find some metal on mine, but it's more like a metal "dust" rather than shavings.
Do not drive it anymore until the fluid is back up to the full level! If you do not refill it and drive it like is is, you're taking a major risk.
