I know this is really random, but how do you get ants out of your car? Somehow I have these little bitty ants that are now making trails through my car. They are comeing from somewhere around the firewall.

Is indoor/outdoor insecticide safe for paint? I know you can spray it on the carpet because it talks about it on the bottle.

    Thanks.

I would just put some ant baits in the car.

I would put them outside of the car to lure them out of it lemmings style.

Thanks. I think I fried a bunch of them when I had to leave my car windows all they way up (95 outside).

Dude the same thing happened with a car I used to have, but I had the big black ants. Just to clarify what i think camaronat's situation is, assuming it's the same.

It's not like they have come in the car, but made a nest in the car somewhere. I never found it on my old car, they are everywhere.

PS. I tried ant killer traps they helped I'd find a few dead ants throughout the car. But get one of those sticky tape things meant for flies. Put one side down on cardboard then slide cardboard under your seat, that will get those ****ers.

I wonder if you could set off a small bug-bomb in your car. They're designed to be used inside with painted walls/upholstry on furniture and one designed for a small room would be far more than enough for your car.

If you did this though I would unplug the battery to prevent any possible sparks from accessories and probably crack the window very slightly to prevent too much buildup of explosive gases. Nothing worse than turning your car into a fireworks show to get rid of a few ants.
