I really want my car back now, its been two weeks and I finally got the money to fix this, but don't know how to get the car started. THe problem is turning on the car. When i put hte key in and try and turn on the car, the SECURITY light flashes slowly and the car won't start, I've tried many ways to start it including the ways the manual tells me, but still nothing. I called in the dealer and they told me to bring it in, but now i can't turn on the car, I don't have hte money nor the time to get my car towed, i just need to turn it on once and take it to the dealer. Anyone got any ideas on how to turn this on, keep in mind neither keys work on the car.
    thanks

Can you even turn the keys? If so, there's a trick that I used to use on my '85 F150. You take a flathead screwdriver and press on a part of the started solenoid (can't think which part), but this basically allows you to start the car from the engine compartment, but you have the have the keys turned in the ignition. good luck!

My friend's girlfriend's car did something similar, except when you went to start it the alarm(horn) sounded. It was a dead battery, you may want to test that out.

Ignition didn't recognize the resistance in the chip in your key. I think you have to wait about 30min before trying again. If it still keeps doing it, try your spare key.

just got my new battery like 6 months ago after it went dead. Battery in good shape, my alternator might be a little off but last time i got it checked whcih was like 3 months ago it was fine. I tried both keys and its the same problem, so I think it might either be both keys or the ignition part. The keys do turn all the way it just that the car won't start. I just want a trick to make it start once so i can take it to the dealership, i dont' have enough money to get it towed. thanks.
