  • crankshaft position sensor ?

i got a code that says my crankshaft position sensor is out of range. A buddy of mine is telling me that i might have spun a bearing. he is a mustang guy though so what can he really know... My question is. how hard is it to replace this and could there be any internal damage ?

It's more of a PITA than it being hard. Chances are it's either a bad sensor or even more likely, if you have a leak of somewhere it might have collected dirt and is not getting a clear reading.
