Heres the deal when ever i drive my car fast i get the check engine light like today i was going about 80 and it turned on then about 10 min later it shut off.
It will also come on if i drive the car hard maybe like a single hard acceleration will cause it to turn on.
I know people will say take it to get scanned for codes but i want to see if theres anything i can do first or check first before i take it in.
scan it first. otherwise your almost stabbing in the dark.
autozone does it for free or you can pick up a scan tool for +/- $100 and never worry about having to take it anywhere to find out what code your throwing.

If the light is flashing and goes away it's usually a misfire. It could also be caused by back pressure from a clogged cat. I had the same symptoms ,and that was my problem.

IT doesnt flash, but i did notice once it came on and then about 10 min later it went off.
When the light is on the car runs perfectly fine.
But since you mention clogged cat, when i went to get my exhaust done the tech there said that the cat was discolered it looked like it had a few extra colors on there he said it might need replacement.
Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
