i just got my z about a month ago and now when i stomp on the gas then have to let up right after it down shifts i hear a clunking noise that comes from the rear end of the car. whats going on ? i appericaite any help.

It may be that your exhaust pipe is banging on a peice of the frame. That's what mine was doing, on mine it was the exhaust clamp right behind the passenger seat. I just wrapped it with some tape stuff my friend had.

It's most likely slack being taken up in the driveline after you let off the gas.
I have a manual, and on the 1-2 shift, when I let off, 2nd engages with a little clunk if I'm going really easy on it.
