I am considering getting myself the following ignition mods for christmas, and i am wondering realistically what can i expect? I have read the descriptions of the products, and i know all the manufactor's claims, but i would like to hear from ppl that have these mods, and truely can say if they are worth it. My only other performance mods are intake and exhaust, please take that into consideration. All opinions welcome!
- thanks

The 6A isn't for us, you'd need a DIS-4. Thing is, our 3.8 Ignitions are already pretty good, except for the coils being mounted on the valve cover. If I were you I'd put the $500 it takes to upgrade the ignition into something different.
yea, you def. cant use the 6A box. you need the DIS-4, the coils, and the coil adapter units.
it wont help your 3800 tremondously, but i am planning on doing it because i want to put nitrous on, and want an upgraded ignition to deal with the spark.
Thanks for all the help guys, what would you recommend putting the 500 into? I want go fast parts!

if its time for tune-up already,
hi-output coils help at high rpm's. the MSD type box is not worth your money or trouble unless you plan on going forced induction sometime soon.
new wires and plugs would also help.
you may not be adding huge amounts of power to what the car had new, but you'll be bringing it back to life a little.
(personally, i'm partial to Taylor wires and stock AC Platinum plugs but to each his own)
