ECU/PCM HELP!!!!!!!!

look at the i con, im F'ED. so this is what happed my computer craped out, a new one from gm is like 2000$, on i cant find any 1997 from junk yard is a 1998 or 2000 and up, i would like the 2001 cause then i could get PROGRAMMING will it work, please need help fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You need the PCM from a 96-97 and it needs to be programmed for you car...most GM dealerships can flash it for less than $100.

a 96 or 97 will work but get one for a 97 with the same gear as you, 3.08 or 3.42 and same transmission and just slap it in.

also, this is really basic so I'm moving it to general.
