my oil pressure seems to be acting up a lot lately. or maybe its just the guage. anyway, when the car is idling or driving its fine, however if i'm switching gears the oil pressure suddenly drops to about 40 at the clutch catch point. as soon as its in gear and i'm on the gas, it goes back up to 70 or 80. If i'm idling and the ac or defroster go on it also drops. any idea what it could be? also, i'm not sure if its related but the car seems to be losing power up high. around 5000-5500rpm. i had the cat replaced about 5000 miles ago, changed the fuel filter, and pvc valve. plugs and wires are next, hopefully this week. it's been running kinda crappy lately so i'm hoping to clear all this up becuase i'm only getting about 23mpg with 99% highway driving going 70-75mph. by the way, its a 2002 m5 with 28k on her. any suggestions?
