  • Fog Lights on a 99 Camaro

Ok, this may not be general tech, but I'll let the mods decide. Anywho, I'm about to upgrade my foglights since they died on me. The only bubls I can find that have the light temperature I want are bulb number 881 and 893. My stock bulb is an 894. What's the difference between these bulbs? If anything? Wattage? Will the 881 bulbs cause any damages to the lenses? And what about the 893 bulbs? The search didn't yield any helpful results. So I just wanna know what bulb would be a suitable replacement for the stock foglights on a 99 Camaro since I can't find the 894 bulbs. I just wanna know if the wattages will cause any problems, and if these bubls will fit? Somebody knows.

Don't worry, I have the 886 bulbs on for a couple of years and it's 50 watters compare to the stock's 34 or 37, forgot what the exact figure was...hehe

Does it make them look any better? I don't ever use mine because they look old, yellow, and crusty.

I was under the impression that the 50 watt bulbs would melt or augment the lenses. Is that wrong? I'm looking to get some with a 7000K light temperature. I'm curious, what about the 881 bulbs, or the 893? Does anyone run these bulbs?
