  • Tapping noise...

A couple of days ago- right where maf screen where the plascit intake housing connects, the rubber slipped a bit and the engine was sucking in a little bit of unfiltered air... I fixed it and tightened it. Of course i was worried about problems, and ive been listening to the car real carefully lately. I notice this tapping noise when the car is idleing in drive (not in neutral), and when i am coming to a stop at low rpm's. Its hard to hear and it may just be me worrying about nothing, but i was just wondering what anyone else thinks.

if it only happens in drive it means its the tranny, which would not be effected in the slightest by stuff breathed in through the intake
