  • Leaking T-TOPS...?

Does anyone have a problem with there T-tops leaking at all? At both ends on my 2000 firebird where the t-tops lock in they both drip water when it rains.....Do you have a clue on what i can do to fix this? I have taken it to the dealership 3 times now but its still leaking....Should i replace my t-top seals? or what? If anyone could help this would be great! I get tired of getting soaked everytime it rains!

my drivers side leaks when i take it to wash it or it pours, not neccesarily when its just raining lightly, but when it pours if i dont put a few towels on my seat my asss gets soaked......it sucks and is so ghetto but i havent had time to mess w/it

Thats the same problem i have! When i wash it or it pours.....What can i do to fix that? Do I have buy new weather stripping on the T-Tops where they lock in? Like the Thick rubber part?

yeah my girls maro has that problem.... The well weather stripping... you can do that it works.... but when you take the t-tops off it messes the stripping up again.

this is going to sound crazy but someone was telling me to use chapstic or vasoline on the weather stripping of the t-tops. i thik he said do it where the windo meets the t-top (or i guess where ever its leaking) acts a sealent he claims, dunno soemthign to think about.

Go buy a $2 tube of black RTV silicone sealant.

ho outside to your car go to each corner that is leaking, unscrew the guide, by each corner where the tops lock in, lift the weaterstripping nd put the RTV there, let t dry.

The idea is you need to channel the water to the guide, and down through the weatherstripping.
