  • Lots of KR

i got a code and my car has been running really rough and slow. It was a misfire code.. This is what my screen looked like when i scanned it with HPTuners. Does this mean the misfire is in bank 1?

I just replaced the plugs a week ago to fix this problem and it fixed it for a that time. What could this be?

By the way.. the code i pulled was the random cylinder misfire code

seeing has how you replaced the plugs a week ago, maybe a wire burnt up being to close to the exhaust or something after you changed the plugs. So it could be your wires, plugs again (maybe one not put in all the way), or maybe even a coil pack

          Re: Lots of KR

you have knock retard sensors in your engine. they detect a certain frequency of pings/knocks which is detonation occuring. If the knock sensors
detect knock/detonation then they retard the timing to keep detonation FROM occuring.
Hopefully I explained it correct, Hopefully I didnt confuse you more.

well it was the coil.. weird thing is , the coil stopped working while spraying nitrous, is this common or just a coincidence?

The higher the pressure in the combustion chamber, the higher the resistance the ignition system has to overcome.

Normal power settings were ok for your coil, the the pressures from nitrous created too much resistance for that coil.
