hey guys im new to this site and i own a 88 2.8 camaro and i wanted to know if anyone can help me..on this when i hit the gas to the floor the car feels like its holding back..i also noticed when it is in 3rd gear it feels like the converter locks in and its a 4 speed auto...and the last thing when i hit it. it will hesitate and then if i lift and it feels like it take off again..help

same with me my cat was bad and I wielded a new one in and havent had that problem since. Im 91% sure thats it, but if it isnt check Ure EGR...if tha check engine light is on cause of the hesitation Im sure you'll get a EGR failcodeDrive it like I stole itComment

I agree it's probably the cat. The holding back, and then taking off when you lift off the gas a little seem to be common symptoms of a clogged cat.
