  • HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I bought used throttle body and ported it, it's stamped with the year 2000, so I'm thinking it came off a 00 or 01 model, my is a 99. Anyways I put the thing on and the car runs strong until you go past 3/4 throttle. About 2 seconds afer you go past 3/4 throttle, the asr shuts off, and the "reduced engine power light comes on". After that the throttle stops responding, and you have to shut the car off to get it to work again. And it runs really rough after the lights come on. are 01 and 99 throttlebodys interchangeable?

    I don't think they are straight swapable, In my parts manual, there are different numbers for the 99. It goes 93-95 95-98 then 99 then 00-02

    I don't know what the diffeence is but GM had a lot of 99 eclusive part numbers.

        It looks like the part numbers are the same for the 99 and the 00+,but 99 has its own section whereas 00-02 are lumped together and 95-98 are lumped together,I wonder what is different.Maybe someone else has better info.

            Well, I have heard that the engine will do what it did tonight if it goes lean...... But I'm just guessing. I'll get it scanned in the morning, hopefuly it stored what ever codes it caused.
