security help again

i have a 98 transa am ws6 with an automatic transmision. i was crusing araund my "hood" when i noticed the security light come on while i was driving. doesn't the security light come on when your car is off? Has anyone ever had this problem. Can anyone help me on telling me why the light comes on while my car is runnig,and how do i fix it. thanks

most likely your ignition lock cylinder needs to be replaced or you can bypass the security system. if you want to do that, search up. :)

i have seen the security light come on while driving in my last 94 camaro... but it was because i could remove the key while driving it.... kept running and all but the light would come on..... other than that, theres nothing under the hood that should have done that.... even if u messed with the pcm... all the wires run to the bcm behind ur glove box..... so what blldogg says applies... but if u want to u can just do the 10 cent resistor mod.... look it up... find it online somehwere or on this board...

passkey 2 or vats bypass... look up remote start bypass for ur car
