• need help finding parts for a swap?

ok here is the deal ive always wanted a trans am but knowing that i was going to put heavy modifications into the engine ive desided jsut to swap because ive come to terms with me car and i dont really want to get rid of her so here is my deal

im going to start building a 427 to swap in when it is built. i need a little help compiling a list of parts i need to assemble the engine so i can just drop it in when im ready. i have covered most of it but im sure ive left out a lot. as of know i have the block heads and crank intake. but i need a way of getting a pcm and wiring harnes along with the ignition system and the accessory drive systems. and for those that have swapped a ls1 in already please tell me anything i will need to know when installing.

recap
need list of parts (accessories to the block and heads)
and places to get those parts.

Best place to start looking for a 427 swap in a 4th gen is car magazines. Seriously! They have time, space, tools, and a CRAPLOAD of freebies that rich jerks donate to them all the time so they can get some publicity outta it.
If you're gonna try it, I wish you all the best luck That'll be a nasty machine if it's done right.

are you wanting a 427 SBC BBC or are you wanting to make a 427 LS1? ever look into a C5R .. its 15,000 pricetag is a lil scary for most people though

also a cammed ls1 can take out a viper with realtive ease..

what im doing is gonna be a resleeved ls1 block with a forged 427 rotating aseembly that only cost 5grand. but after that i need the heads cam intake and all the other goodies so it wil be an expensive motor just not a 15 grand motor

hit me up e-mail where to get that setup for $5000 in parts.

A friend is having a ls1 blocked based 427 built now, and his price is double that, and that is not through an expensive shop.

wow, that is not bad, price is more like 5500 plus core.. but still a killer price, i will have to post some questions about their setup, on ls1tech, as might be the way to go for my new motor.

Top that with some patriot performance stage 3 ls6 heads for $2K and LSX intake...
