Ok on my 94 firebired formula v8. The turn signle switch is broken just hanging there. Would that be a cheap repair or would it need a whole new stering collum?

You don't need a whole new column, but you'll have to tear the column apart to reach the base of the turn signal handle.
As for finding one, try ebay;
