noises when after a/c use

when i turn off my a/c, this horrible noise comes from the front of my car. I cant even describe it, but when i turn on the a/c again the sound goes away. Ideas? Ive got a 2000 Camaro.

Did you ever pop the hood and try to pinpoint the noise? Also is it a grinding noise, squeaking noise, rattling noise, etc ?

It was a spueaking, with some rattle. Oh, and when i turn on the A/C i get this woosh sound before everythin is ok. Dunno if that has anything to do with it.....

I think i have the same problem, i'm pretty sure it's the A/C compressor clutch. It did the same sound on my ex-girlsfriend's cavalier. Is there a way of repairing that without removing or changing the a/c compressor.

im having the same problem myself. It only does it when the a/c is and since its summer it is always on i guess im just gonna wait till winter to get it fixed.
