My first post and hope someone can help me here. I have owned a 95 Camaro and a 94 Firebird in the past, both 3.4 V6 5-speed. I am a experienced engine rebuilder and have just completed a total rebuild of a 3.4 V6 for my daughters 94 Firebird which I bought knowing it had a bad engine. It is all back together but I think the security system will not allow it to start. When the key is in accessory (run) position the security light keeps blinking. I traced the theft deterrent relay beside the passenger side kick panel and bypassed it with a jumper but was wondering where the Theft deterrent MODULE is located? Is that the key recognition thing in the ignition switch lock cylinder? It turns over very slowly now with the relay bypassed but I am getting a new battery and started which I will install tommorow. Also as a side note,..this car had an incredibly ridiculous alarm system installed (Alladin) that took me 8 hours to remove. It was spliced and hacked into nearly every power feature, ignition, lights etc all throughout the car. What a monster job to undue the damage that was done. I will probably have some electrical questions following as I try to restore this car to original. Thanks for any help!
