hey guys i just got a 98 v6 camaro and wana change the oil and filter. my question is how many quarts? thanks:)

I run 5 as well. Get a quality oil filter while you're at it. dont get a fram. I reccommend wixComment

I can't speak for anyone else.... but I have never had any REAL problems with Fram. The only thing I did have a problem with was a small pin hole in the side right next to their grip area..... but that could have been done by me or something while driving.Originally posted by Savorybacon

I use 5 qts 10w30.<a href=\"http://www.fbodyelpaso.org\" target=\"_blank\">www.fbodyelpaso.org</a> A4 stock 3.42 and LSD not Y87,SLP cold air induction, whisper lid, k&n filter, flowmaster 80 series, hypertech, 160 powerstat thermostat, t/a front bumper, functional nostrils, pacesetter headers best et: 15.9 at about 4800ftComment

It just seems to me that fram's are cheaply built. Have a look around http://people.msoe.edu/~yoderw/oilfi...ilfilters.html at the fram filters vs wix. It is your choice and the main thing is you have a new filter and oil every 3k ;)Comment

my best oil combo i have used thusfar is 5 qts of 10w30 royal purple with a k and n oil filter2001 Camaro 3.8 A4
