  • How far from and how high up on wall for healight alignment?

Just wanna know how far from the wall I should be and how high from the ground I need to make it. Currently my left headlight sits about 6 inches higher then the right from ~6 feet away.

    According to Chiltons:

    1) Park the vehicle on a level surface, with the fuel tank about 1/2 full and with the vehicle empty of all extra cargo (unless normally carried). The vehicle should be facing a wall which is no less than 6 feet (1.8m) high and 12 feet (3.7m) wide. The front of the vehicle should be about 25 feet from the wall.

It appears that at that distance the center of the light should be at centerline with the headlamp itself (ie at 25 ft the light should be ~2ft off the ground).

        20-25 feet away(it's not critical).
Beam pattern should be basicly straight and level(a little below the hieght of the bulb, and a little to the right, to keep from blinding oncoming vehicles.)
