  • HVAC question

on a 95 sonoma, how could you diagnose why the HVAC fan isnt coming on? also, it doesn't route to the different zones anymore either (i.e. vent, defrost, floor, etc.)
just run thru it with a continuity tester? anyone familiar enuf w/ S-bodies that they know what stuff goes wrong commonly?

    Re: HVAC question

I suppose it would be the usual:

    Blower motor fuse
Bad connection at the blower motor
    Bad blower motor

As for switching the zones, it may be a vacuume line (only if you heard a "hissing" sound when switching zones b 4 it went bad). I've had that happen on my older cars - traced out vacuume lines and found a dry-rotted line under the hood. Replaced with LEGO pnumatic tubes- worked great!
