hey guys I have a 3.4 and was reading through this and I actually had the same problem, i would have an idle of like 1500 at normal temp and my tranny would kick whenever i put it in drive or reverse because of the high idle. I took it to the shop after alot of unsuccessful tinkering and it turned out my TB had a big *** leak in the butterfly valve and I needed a new TB. So check that out if you haven't already...
