whats the differance in th 7x and 24x crank sensors do i have both of them on my car or just the 24x if i have the 7x where is it...its a 3.4l

Yes you do have both of them. The 24x is the one behind the harmonic balancer. It is used for ignition control during cranking and idle control. The 3x is on the right side of the block and it provides a signal to the PCM through the ignition control module. The PCM uses this signal to determine RPM and crankshaft position.
Also, did you get a CASE relearn done on your computer when you replaced the one behind the pulley? I read somewhere that it doesn't need to be done with the OBD I computer.

no i didnt get the relearn..... which one of these sensors can be causeing my car to run rich could it be both...i got a code foe one but i dont know which one it was...Last edited by black95maro; 03-11-2007, 02:46 PM.

you don't need a case relearn mainly just it needs a idle relearn just start it and let it learn its idle again, but to cause you to run rich could be cam sensor. could be alot of things..sorry i couldn't help to much95 camaro 3.4auto, 3:23 gears, K&n intake, jet stage 1 chip, clear corners, flowmaster 80series, carsound cat,
