Hey guys Im wondering how hard it would be to convert my 96 taillights to the honeycomb lights from the 98 and above lights. Thanks

I am getting ready to tackle the same deal. So far as I have found, 93-02 lights are the same design. It seems as though there are two nylon/plastic type material bolts with like material nuts that unscrew, releasing the whole taillight housing to service bulbs, exchange, etc.
I really think that's all there is to it unless one of our friends here on the board knows of something that I missed.
