    Dead computer?

    Symptoms:
    Car cranks just fine but won't start.
    Fuel pump does not come on with key in 'on' position."
    OBDII scanner says "vehicle not responding" when properly hooked up.


    PCM BAT and PCM IGN fuses are fine. Power pins for PCM are receiving power. Computer possibly reset when negative battery cable was disconnected for 2+ hours. I think it may have shorted and died when I put the negative cable back on.

    Anyone have a similar screw up? How much would it be for a new PCM and the work to program it?

    That's what happened when I tried to use a 97 PCM on my car. I was just going to see if it worked so I could send it in to get reprogrammed some other time without having my car down for a long period.

    Same symptoms.
