    ok i bought a 93 firebird 3.4 t5. the car sat for 2 years i replaced wires,plugs,oil,coolent,battery,alt,. the car has 140k but has a new clutch and motor. well i just took it out for a test drive and the car seems to lack power at high speeds i mean my 95 which it an auto kicked my butt. so i thot maybe it was just me so i had my mom drive it and the auto still took her. where should start to find out whats going on? thanks

    fuel filter or pump possibly. Check them both or try replacing the filter first, alot cheaper.

      ok i just got done with the filter and it seems to help but its still lacking so i go for the pump now?

        im not sure myself, so im not going to tell you to jump into something that might cost you a pretty penny.

          Is it feel like when you accelerate it bogs down than picks up? If so put a fuel pressure gauge on the rail and check the psi. It may be a pump if the pressure is low. Mine was doing this. Sometimes hard to start and I couldnt isolate it. So i took it to the dealer and my psi was about 17. LOL
