  • coolant leak? bad sensor?

i noticed it looks like i have something leaking on the right side of my engine. it is either coolant or water. my temperature gauge on the dash has been going haywire the past couple of days. it will sit at 180* and then go up to around 230* for about a min and then zoom back down to 180* and it did this several times back and forth during a 15 minute 60 mph drive in about
75* weather. i stopped at napa and the guy said it looks like i have a small radiator leak and it looks like the fan is spraying the liquid all over the place. he said the temperature gauge problem is probably a sensor going bad.

    any help? suggestions?

Fix one problem at a time. If in fact your radiator is leaking, get it fixed. Then go after the next problem
