anybody know if i could use the mobil oil filter m1-201 on my 3.8? i was told by 2 guys at auto zone today that i could so i bought it. the threads and holes look the same as m1-101 which is what it calls for

If thats the one for the 4WD 4.3, then yes it will fit. I have a Napa brand 4.3 4WD oil filter on mine. -

Mobil one filter is the same as a Ac Delco other then mobil one's plate is thicker were it threads on. It is the same filter other wise.Comment

i have a 3.4 with the T-5.. i dont konw if this other filter is longer that factory, but if it is, I konw i'd have a hell of a time gettin it in..Originally posted by tkoforpresident
