www.installuniversity.com has good pics.
I put my corsa exhaust on and supported the body on the inner frame rails, next to where the lower control arms are located.
I used a jack on the outer frame rails.

If I work on the rear of the car on the brakes, etc. I place the jackstands underneath the rear axle tubes. In the front, however I place the jackstands on the inner frame rails.
EDIT: For exhaust where you probably want the rear suspension to be extended, placing the jackstands on the inner frame rails in the rear as slow mentioned will work just fine. I did not note right away that you were doing an exhaust install.

Rails where the LCAs bolt in the back ...
Sorta-railish-things where stuff comes together in the front. I.e. behind the plastic block. Works fine for me. Will use the axle tube when needed.

The rear is easier, for exhaust I think I rember puting them in front of the trailing arms, just be carefull lower it slowly to make sure you dont bend anything.~chris~ 98 Cayenne red Camaro 3800 A4, 3:08, T tops Borla cat-back, wisper lid K&N, Bilstine shocks, Dunlops all around. <br />AOL IM: chevyboyz24
