My buddy has a 2000 grand am and is having a butt load of trouble w/ it. first thing is the fuel pump. His mec. said that it will be around 5-600 bux to fix.

    2) his driver side window will not go back up. he said it went down fine, but then just heard humming when pushing the up button. He brought it to pontiac and they said it was the regulator inside the door that either froze or broke. The claim it will be 500 as well to fix.

Does anyone have knowledge on the regulator inside the door and how big of a p.i.t.a it is to fix?

and where can he get fuel pumps for his car cheap?
    Thanks

Do a google search for "Grand Am Message Board". I found very comprehensive walkthroughs on things I needed for my 01 on there. As far as the fuel pump goes, tell your friend to quit running the tank to the bottom. That's the #1 cause of fuel pump failures.

Is the car under warranty still? If so, just take it to the dealer and make them fix it for free.
