i put in a hurst shifter with a lous short stick and i hear a lot of loud tranny noise. it kinda shonds like im in too high of a gear only louder. any suggestions?

Well, I've noticed i think a similar problem after installing my shifter and it's mainly just because I don't have the big rubber cover thing on anymore and the main function of it was to silence all of the noise from the gearbox. An aftermarket shifter will always be louder than the stock shifter.
