  • question for 12secondv6 and others

    I saw where 12secondv6 car only weighed 2900. Just wondering what all you did to reduce weight. Help from anyone else is welcome to its just that i saw his car was only 2900.
    1996 Camaro -- SLP CAI, Motorvator TB spacer, MSD 8.5 mm wires, 180 thermostat, Pacesetter headers, Catco 3 in cat, TSP Rumbler, custom painted interior, 18x9.5 Z06 replica wheels, Nexen N3000 265/35r18 tires, - Best 1/4 mile 15.3@89mph

    stripped interior, remove bumper supports, remove A/C, remove ABS if you want, spare tire removed, etc.

      well, james has done a lot of things... his car can be considered a freakin' gokart. he has an engine, a body, driver's seat, and two big *** bottles of nitrous. he won't even paint that damn hood because paint weighs too much.

        yeah sounds pretty good. I already have spare tire and jack out... i was thinking of removing back seat and seat belts but i havent decided yet.

          Man, I love having the backseats out. More room for tool and junk storage back there now. Also removed jack, spare, seatbelts, kick panels, and 30 lbs of fat (mine). :D

              I think I might do something like that tomorrow after I install my glow gauges again(nobody wants them! esp on ebay!).
