Alternator wire to battery washers - what do do with them?
Alternator wire to battery washers - what do do with them?
Here's the thing I've been wondering about. My 4th replacement alternator has a two little washers that are to be used to secure the wire going from the battery to the alternator. They are sort of stuck together, but I can't figure out if they are supposed to stay that way and just put them both between the wire and the nut, or between the wire and the alternator, or one on each side of the wire.
Does anyone know what is supposed to be done with them? Is this just a stupid question?
