Coolant Overflowing?

This morning I noticed a trail of coolant underneath the passenger side of the car. I looked under the hood and there was coolant on top of the overflow lid. I opened it and there was no coolant in it but the radiator was full. Went to a drive thru and was told I was leaking coolant. I parked to check it out and I saw no leak just a bit leftover from where I had seen it dripping earlier (right underneath the overflow bottle on the passenger side). I drove home and the temperature was fine. I checked it again with it in park and the engine still running, and still found nothing. I then went inside and came out a few minutes later and noticed a new puddle of coolant. I checked the overflow bottle and it was filled to the top. I checked the radiator about 15 minutes later once it was cool enough and it was full but the overflow bottle was once again empty. Has anybody else had this problem or know what the problem is and how to fix it? It doesn't affect the temperature at all just is annoying that I'm "leaking" coolant when I park.

take out the overflow bottle and check for leaks, it's right underneath the battery.

I checked that it overflows out of the top

no cause I don't put any in the overflow just in the radiator.

what? Before I went anywhere the radiator was full and the overflow bottle was empty. Then when I shut the car off it started overflowing from the overflow bottle.

yeah thats messed up, sorry, no idea. did your car overheat maybe? that would make it overflow from there but only if you already had some in there, and u said you didn't so idk.

Sounds like there might be clog somewhere in the cooling system.

Maybe you have a special car that makes antifreeze. I always wondered where the stuff comes from. I say bottle it and sell it for extra cash.
