    p0301, p0480, p0481

480 and 481 are cooling fan codes which are because of my manual fan switch (no prob there)

301 is the code for cylinder 1 misfire. soooo, coilpacks look fine, plug/wire looks fine from the topside, once i let the car cool down i'll get up underneath and check the connection there. guy said a simple tune up should fix it. the car actually died when i was pulling into my garage, but i got it to start again to pull the rest of the way in. oh well, just an update, any input would be appreciated

every time I've gotten a cylinder misfire code its been my wires and they've looked fine every time but there was actually a bad one both times!

So yea a tune up (plugs/wires) should fix it!
I dunno about the coilpacks but my guess is wires!

thanks man, ya im about to drop it off at the dealership...i figure i've still got about 900 miles on my warranty so I may as well make use of it. he said they will tune it up in the AM tomorrow, so hopefully my car will be running smooth in 24 hrs!

side note....under misfire the car sounds like a v8 with a nasty cam, lol

I had a fried plug, 2 more were on the verge also. Actually a lot of things were borderline, so I got the complete tune-up. Serp belt had cracks in it, tranny fluid was nasty...so I got new serpentine belt, swap fuel filter, tranny flush, full plug/wire swap, and oil change. I'm at 35,000 miles so I needed it all baddddd. The total came to about $550. My car should/better be happy now! :D I think I'll clean it and wax today also.

well, my warranty may technically be up already, or the "30,000 mile tune-up" isn't covered under warranty. luckily for me my parents offered to pay for this tune-up since they haven't had to spend a dime on the car since I got it 3 years ago :D

so no it wasn't free :(

MMM I got this code just recently. Bought myself NGK TR55's. Putting them in now, hopefully will solve my problem. If its wires also, damn, I should've just bought them at the same time. But I did a resistance check and they seemed all in the same range. So i left them alone. Dont know how to check the coil, so I dont know. I'll say whats up when Im done puttin gin the plugs.
