Ive had to replace this thing like 8 times the past 6 months, WTF!?? Its on the passenger side on the top like right up at the firewall almost. When it brakes all your air just goes out the defroster and at your feet and you cant use your vents at all until you replace it, cheap $8 plastic piece of **** keeps breaking anytime I leave the car on vent though and start it up again (Not A/C, never used to do this before but Im chewing through these little valves left and right now)
Anyone else have this prob?

i dont have this prob... but if you could figure out what is Causing it to physically break. i dont know much about A/C so i cant be of much help except the best advice i can get is to look around the peice, see if anything else is out of order, and then go from there. watch it on start-up etc.
i just rigged a T fitting.. its not like its something special that you NEED. its just a T fitting with some kind of filter in it.
go to pepboys and get a vaccuum t fitting. like.. 25 cents

yeah, i had this problem, I broke three of them. I finally told chevrolet to warranty the thing for a year. then it broke again and i replaced it again. i would suggest, wrapping it in bubble wrap or something, because I think it was being jarred around when I hit bumps and that may have caused it to start breaking. sucks not haveing a/c huh? my ac unit isnt working right now and its not a good time for it to quite on me. ahhh
good luck

Mine also keeps doing this. I think it may be the heat from the manifolds that makes mine crack. I just wrapped it up today to hopefully help because it looks like it's about to go again. Mine usually only lasts about a month or so.
what a piece of **** problem this is, I dont want to replace this thing every 3 months... there has to be a solution, let me know how wrapping it up works for you guys
