I have a 2001 camaro that I spun a bearing & replaced the engine w/ a used 1 from the junk yard. Well when starting the engine it has a bad ticking from the passenger side cyl#4 I also have a missfire on the same cylinder. Ticking speeds up w/ rpm & does not go away when you it warms up. I have replaced the ignition coil, spark plugs, egr, lifters & pushrods on that cylinder, pcv & head gasket on that side but the tick is still present. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Re: Another ticking post.
Thanks for the feedback I will get on it as soon as i get back home to the DFW area. Right now im in Houston. Sorry for the stupid questions but if I end up changing the cam do I have to degree it if I just put in a stock cam? I was also told to check the rocker arm spring and valve I visually inspected the these parts & they seem fine. are these common problems w/ v6 fbodies?

Re: Another ticking post.
yes your still going to need to degree it should be bang on...mine was fine, but none the less it has to be checked and adjusted if it's off...mine as well through in a very mild cam that doesnt require tuning if your looking to stay mostly stock...probably cheaper then buying a new stock cam...
