Hey all! I am new to this site and don't really have any questions as of yet. So far looking around the site I like what I see and that's what made me decide to join the site. I am also a member of the Firebird nation site. I currently drive a 1996 Pontiac Firebird with the 3.8 and Y87 package. It has it's share of issues that I am slowly but surely working off. The idiot that owned it before me had rebuilt the engine and took a lot of shortcuts. So, now I am going back behind his mess ups and fixing them. I bought my girl in Tennesse at a buy here pay here lot for about $3k. Nice thing about it is that although it has some things that need done to it she runs really strong. She is a 5 speed as well. Current mods on her are a Pieced together universal CAI and some pice of crap Pacesetter headers. Thinking about going back to factory exhaust but with the newer exhaust manifolds as opposed to the ones that came on the car. The biggest problems I'm having are it has a really nasty exhaust leak, not sure if it's from the Y-pipe or the heads, and the typical slow moving windows that won't roll all the way down. Also, I'm missing the Catalytic convertor which is a problem in the state I live in now. So, obviously my first thing to attack is the exhaust being it's the most expensive and is preventing me from registering it here in NY, fortunately the Tennesse tags are still valid. So with that said I'll keep everyone posted on my progress. Oh, one more thing, does anyone near me have a set of chrome WS-6 wheels they are looking to get rid of fairly cheap? i have some 00 manifolds if you want em. Ill take like $50 shipped. they even have o2 still in em.

i have been lookin for a good set of WS6 wheels for a while, good luck. I think ima go with replica vette wheels on my car.

Heya, welcome to the site. The people here have taught me basically everything I know about my car. With that said, I'm hoping to be in the 12's this summer at the track. I'm not bragging, because I wouldn't be able to even hope for 12's without this site.
