Burned out lights in cd player....What's the part # for the leds?
Ok fellas, i have a delco monsoon cd player and the lights are burned out in it. Do you guys know what the part number is for the lights, or where I can find them?
I'm going to have to unsolder the old lights and resolder the new ones correct?
yeah I saw that post, went to radio shack and bought a couple of the bulbs but they were really dim and they burned out after like 5 min. Did you have any problems with them?
LED's normally never burn out, they are pretty much lifetime. Unless they are being over-volted. Is everything ok in the player? What's the voltage across the LED leads?

Did you replace all of the bulbs? I tried to replace one, and it made all the others go out.
If you have a voltmeter, you can check the bulbs to see if the individual ones work.

zlexiss: they aren't actually leds, they're just really really small bulbs.
wishihad$$$: Out of the 9 bulbs, only one of the bulbs was originally working. I just bought one bulb from radio shack, and thats the one that burned out already. I got the one with the part number you supplied, but it was way smaller than the original ones. So are you telling me that they will burn out unless I replace all of them at once?
That's strange, they should be the same size bulbs.
Does the package say 50mA 12V?
The exact opposite happened with me. One bulb was out, and when I replaced it, the new one worked but the rest were out.
Are you sure the connection on the new bulb is safe? When I replaced them, all of the new ones worked except for one. I pressed it with my finger and it went on. Try playing around with the leads a bit.

Yep, 50mA and 12V, but nearly have the size of the original bulbs. I guess I'll try replacing all of them at once and see what happenes. I just don't want to waste $15 if they are gonna burn out.
This evening I replaced all of the bulbs at one time, and everything worked perfectly. I went ahead and soldered the lights in so that they would have a good connection. Thanks for the help fellas.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
