@002 Camaro SS

I know this is'nt about our V6's,but pardon me I dont't think this is totally off-base its still about F-bodies.Ok here it is ,I know someone out there may have info on Camaro SS's.Question 1:Did they in 2002 or ever came equipped with 4 sp. automatics;Question 2:What gear ratios where standard Or optional, if any.The reason I ask is I know an SS owner who has a Camaro that he says is a bonified SS w/an A4 ,& he says its a 3:23 rear gear from the factory.I thought they were just 6speed manuals?I could make my '98 V6 look like an SS with a hood,spoiler,exhuast sys, & a Z28 could be tranformed easier.

hmm I dont know but I thought all SS cars were manual

Yes they were available with A4 and 3.23 gears. 6 speeds came with 3.42's.

i believe you could also get 2.73s also. im not a 100% sure on that though.

Z28s can be modified to look like a ss on the outside but the ss has the ss emblem embroidered into the seats, and of course all you have to do is look on the door jamb for WU8 <--- thats the code for the ss. and plus there will be a few slp markings also.

2.73's only came with A4 z28's and regular Trans Am's.

Thanx to all who replied.I was under the belief that SS's were like Z06's, just M6's.Could'nt find a site that listed the Z28 or SS's options,if anyone knows of one please post,thanx,Geocor...oh ya GO GO WHITE SOX!
